Grad course.....so far.......

Before beginning my grad course (using the internet for teachers), I thought it was going to be a breeze. I feel like I am a pretty tech savy person and a quick learner. Boy, was I surprised. I have learned so much in the first four weeks of this class and there is just more knowledge to come.

I love blogging and definitely think I am going to stick with it after the course. Once I go back to teaching, I see blogging becoming something I use frequently. I have also been amazed with how much Google has to offer. It's so fun to play around with the various tools.

I am looking forward to learning even more..... :)

Bullying is a problem in school that is very important to me. I have multiple friends who have children with some type of special need and I know how worried they are about their children and bullying. It hurts my heart to see the heartache they are dealing with every day. One of the most important things that I feel I can teach my own children is that everybody is different and we don't have the right to treat them any differently than we would anybody else. I always say that I don't need my child to be the smartest, fastest, most athletic child at school....as long as they are nice to everybody, I will be happy.

My 3 favorite websites

I am a huge Internet girl. I love it. I love searching and reading about all sorts of topics. I honestly prefer the computer over the television. On any given night, you will find me on the couch with the laptop and my husband watching his shows on t.v.

One of my favorite websites is People.com. I am a sucker for celebrity news. I'm slightly...okay more than slightly obsessed. It might be a problem. :)

Another one is facebook. I love catching up with people on facebook and checking out their photos. It's such an easy way to stay in touch with those people that aren't around.

Pinterest is a new obsession. It allows you to keep various collections of ideas on one page. I have been browsing it nightly and finding all sorts of great ideas that I will most likely never use! :)

Hi! My name is Lindsay Turner and I am a stay at home mom of 2 beautiful girls. I am currently taking a course that requires me to have my own blog, so here it is! :) I have been wanting to create a blog and this course gave me the push that I needed. Hopefully, it will help keep family up to date on the happenings in the Turner household!!
